Ubisoft has announced that its sponsored all-girl group of gamers, the Frag Dolls, are in search of a new member. The open call for female gamers who are interested in becoming a Frag Doll will kick off at the Penny Arcade Expo (PAX) in Bellevue, Washington, on Saturday and Sunday, August 27-28, at the Meydenbauer Center.
In a process which seems alarmingly similar to a movie audition, a call is being made to female gamers 18 and older in the U.S. to turn up at PAX. Female gamers that are interested should bring their video game resume and a few photos (these can be color photo copies) and are invited to take advantage of an onsite videotaped audition to help their selection chances. The video tape segment, which is not mandatory for consideration, will consist of a one-minute taped response to the question: Why should you be a member of the Frag Dolls?
The team is looking forward to helping decide who joins us as we begin our second year, said Rhoulette, Frag Doll team member and captain. The girls and I have been receiving e-mails and comments from fans, gamers and friends asking how they can become a Frag Doll. Well, here's your chance!
In addition, the Frag Dolls will also accept resumes at the upcoming Major League Gaming (MLG) events, where prospective Frag Dolls can meet members of the team and conduct video-taped segments as well. Resumes can also be submitted online by e-mailing a cover letter, a resume and a few photos to fragdolls@ubisoft.com.
The Frag Dolls have a tradition of impressing at PAX highlited by their outstanding performance in the 32-team Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six 3 Black Arrow tournament held at PAX back in 2004. The newest member of the Frag Doll team is set to be announced before the end of 2005. For more information about the Frag Dolls, follow the download tab above.
