Wondering when the next-generation Call of Duty game will debut? Almost certainly before the end of 2020. Most likely, in October. How do we know this? Because a Doritos packet featuring a promotional deal for Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War made its way online, showing the end of a double XP promotional event on 31st January, 2021.

As VG247 highlights, a second image gives us additional clues as to when the game will launch, showing that the promotional deal starts on October 5 and runs through to the end of January the next year. The last Call of Duty game launched at the end of October with tie in promotions beginning a couple of weeks before that for the early adopters and pre-orderers.
We could well see the same thing with Cold War. Most likely tying in with the launch of next-generation consoles.
