The latest update for the Steam version of Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas removed a large number of music tracks and made some older save files unusable.
The update was released on Friday without patch notes, but fan site Rockstar Nexus managed to compile the list of changes known so far. The update introduces plenty of favorable changes such as adding support for Xbox controllers and using mouse steering by default; however it is not without drawbacks.
The patch has removed the following 17 songs from the game's soundtrack:
• Critical Beatdown
• Running Down A Dream
• Woman To Woman
• You Dropped A Bomb On Me
• Yum Yum
• Running Away
• I Don't Give A f*ck
• Express Yourself
• Killing in the Name of
• Hellraiser
• Ring My Bell
• Don't Let It Go To Your Head
• Express Yourself
• Rock Creek Park
• Grunt
• Soul Power '74
• The Payback
Noticeably, those tracks were not included in the recently released Xbox 360 version of the game.
Additionally, some users are reporting that their older save files are no longer usable and that some display resolutions have been removed. Rockstar Nexus expects those to be non-deliberate bugs.
Fortunately, fan-made SilentPatch, is able to fix the save file and resolution issues.
