Tekken X Street Fighter was announced 5 years ago at SDCC in 2010, and it is still in active development till now.
Speaking to producer Katsuhiro Harada, Famitsu asked if the game was forgotten and he assured that "That's not true! I've been saying this since before, but the fact of the matter is that we're at a pretty far stage into its development."
"It might seem like we haven't started on it at all," he elaborated. "But the character lineup has been decided upon since a very long time ago. And we've already finished the polygon models, moves, and systems."
Evidently, Tekken X Street Fighter still need more development time, but that's not the only reason behind its delay. Whenever the game is ready for launch, Harada should pick a suitable launch window. "There's that special timing that we need for that to have its own spotlight," he explained. "So on the marketing side, it's a special situation, but we can say that it hasn't been cancelled, so please relax."
