A leaker claiming to have news of an in-development Bloodborne remaster has reported that it will land later in 2021, and won't just be an HD recreation. It will, they claim, hit 60 FPS at 4K and will do far more besides, suggesting it will be an "ambitious" remaster.
Although it will initially be a PS5 only release, the leaker also claims that it will hit PC later on.
The leaker in question is @SoulsHunts on Twitter, who has previously made some very accurate leaks about Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin, released the details in French, which translate roughly to:
"Many are waiting for a sequel to Bloodborne but that won't happen. FS prefers to focus on new IPs"
However, Bloodborne will be released this year on PS5 (later on PC)! The remaster is not developed by Bluepoint nor FS but is ambitious."
The reason Bluepoint and FromSoftware aren't involved is because they are working on new games with entirely new properties. That also means they won't be doing any kind of Bloodborne sequel, at least for now.
This remaster, however, should be something special, making the game look far better. What it will do beyond 4K/60FPS remains to be seen.
