Hits just as a new Elden Ring spin-off is announced
Elden Ring, as we're sure you all know, is the latest game in the FromSoft Dark Souls series. Released in 2022, Elden Ring became an instant smash hit. A big departure from previous entries in the series, Elden Ring's open world design allowed players to hit areas of the massive world whenever they liked. While there are now many guides telling you the best places to start, there's no requirement for you to follow them, reinforcing the sense of exploration people love this series for.
Of course, it's a hard game. Super hard, some would say — and that can quite rightly put some people off. However, this much lower price provides a much lower barrier to entry than usual, meaning it's an easier jumping off point for the unsure.
It's also a great time to get into Elden Ring, as the hype train has begun for Elden Ring: Nightreign, a new spin-off of the series which allows for a more direct multiplayer in a rogue-like environment, with all the same tough challenges that veterans love. In addition, it hasn't been long since the release of Shadow of the Erdtree, Elden Ring's one and only DLC. This DLC ramped up the difficulty even higher, and helped to explain and finish off the story started in Elden Ring.
And of course, if the difficulty really does get too much for you, you can always turn towards PLITCH's range of Elden Ring modifiers to make the game just a tad easier.
