If you've been enjoying free electricity and rent in Supermarket Together, we've got some bad news — that's all about to change with the game's latest patch.
News in brief
- The Invoice and Loan System patch includes a new invoice tab.
- Players will be invoiced for rent, electricity, employee salaries, and loan debt.

Supermarket Together's new Invoice and Loan System patch adds an invoice tab to the manager's blackboard, which will feature loan requests and payment for four invoice types:
- Rent invoice: Generated every seven days and the amount will depend on the number of stores and storage purchased slots.
- Electricity invoice: Generated daily and varies depending on the number of electrical devices in your store.
- Employee salary invoice: Generated daily, depending on the number of employees you've hired.
- Debt payout invoice: Generated daily, if you have taken out a loan.
The good news is that right now, there are no consequences for late payment of invoices, so nobody will come knocking to collect what's due. The bad news? Consequences are being implemented soon, so it's best to not let those invoices pile up.
The latest Supermarket Together patch also brings visual tweaks and bug fixes
A few other updates with this latest patch include the addition of three hanging plants to decorate your ceilings with. There's also a ladder, because reaching the ceiling to hang plants is a challenge in itself. The ladder can be found near the closest trash container and can be carried and placed anywhere.
You'll also find a pretty cool new "experimental paintable" which allows you to paint your walls and floors with a special material that reflects the current image on the TV.
There's a fix for NPCs stuck in random spots in the latest patch, too. If you're still experiencing issues with this even after installing the patch,m you can report this on the game's forums.
