Big melee weapons:
To use big melee weapons effectively, practice hanging back, then veering ahead far enough to hit your enemy with your weapon. Then, drift back. This makes the most of your weapons' superior reach and keeps you away from your opponents' faster weapons.

Guns:
It is best to save all guns for fights against multiple enemies or an exceptionally tough enemy. Particularly weak enemies can be finished off with a combination of the Taser and kicks instead.

Sprinting:
Sprinting is not that useful on stairs; save it for level surfaces.

Strategic dropping:
Drop important weapons and tools near distinctive objects or in easy-to-find spots. By doing this, you will not have to search for them later.

Bug/Glitch:
I'm to the part where you're on some boards. In front of you is a health pack, to your left is a small pipe, and to your right is a board, and in front of you is the bad guy. I can use the health, but I can't pick up either the damn pipe or the board. Thus, I'm stuck facing the final boss with no weapons, which means I can't do a damn thing. Is there a way to bypass this BS bug and beat the game?

Fix/Solution:
Yeah that glitch doesn't really happen particularly at the final boss though. It just happens at random times for some reason. One time it happened to me at the end of the 9th level, when all those addicts come out of the windows. Luckily I found a sledgehammer and I have no idea why it let me pick it up but it did. I guess the only way to get rid of it is to restart at your last checkpoint.
