How to Earn Gold:
Gold lets you buy new heroes, experience, and reload the shop wares if you don't see what you like on the first go. You’ll accumulate gold naturally, but here are two things to keep in mind when it comes to gold.
You can earn interest on the gold you save. As each turn passes, you’ll be awarded one gold for every ten gold you’ve hoarded. This maxes out at 50, but you can still get an extra five gold every turn if you have 50 or more gold. Essentially, it’s beneficial to keep your gold around 50 as the match progresses.
Streaks, both winning and losing, earn you more gold than normal. While it’s
certainly preferred to go on a winning streak, if you have a string of losses, you can turn the tides in your favor with the right purchases — now made easier because of your extra gold.
Early Game Strategy & Tips:
It is advisable to start with heroes that have greater health and can take more
beating than other weaker units. This will allow you to survive until later on to add more Heroes and devise a strategy depending on the table.
While positioning your heroes, keep the brute and stronger characters in the front with weaker heroes behind them to guard them against any initial assault.
There are also some characters that immediately jump through the front line and
attack heroes in the back. Look out for these and try to make two lines of defense, keeping weaker higher damaging units far back to keep them protected and engaged.
Streaks are also very important in the game. You gain gold forever win after a 3-win streak and the amount doubles after another 3-win streak. It means winning in streaks will allow you to make stronger decks.
Losing streaks also reward gold. If you see that you are weaker, it better to lose, keeping your required heroes safe to gain some gold at the end and come back stronger.
Keeping gold and not spending it, every time has an advantage too, as you earn
interest in any gold not spent in a round. The interest is received after each round.
How to Earn XP and Level Up the Proto Pass:
There are two ways to earn XP and level up your Proto Pass:
- Play Multiplayer or Hardcore Bot games
- Complete Daily Quests
Playing Multiplayer or Hardcore bot games will give you a small amount of XP at
the end of the match.
There will also be two daily challenges (a.k.a. dailies) every 24 hours. Clearing each daily quest will give you experience points (XP) needed to level up your Proto Pass. The more difficult the quest, the more XP it gives.
For example, your two daily quests for the day could be:
- Gain 300 end-of-turn gold — 500 XP
- Cast 800 spells — 1,000 XP
Note that these tasks will only count for Multiplayer and Hardcore bot games!
This prevents players to cheat and gain XP faster on the easier bots.
