




This mod replaces the DirectStorage DLL files with DLLs from DirectStorage 1.2.3, which resolves eggregious I/O stutters due to asset and texture decompression and loading.
It appears Capcom's implementation of DirectStorage is borked. As such, I'm providing files to replace their implementation with Microsoft's latest release of DirectStorage. The observation is that in non-VRAM-limited scenarios it smooths out the decompression I/O stutters completely. This includes swinging the camera around, loading into new areas, new assets loading in, etc. This does *not* alleviate like-issues in VRAM-limited scenarios from what I can tell.
Checksums if you'd like to check the files I provide against the ones available from Microsoft here. To reproduce from the original files, change the downloaded file extension (right of the screen) from .nupkg to .zip, then go to the Native folder, Bin, x64, and copy the two DLLs to your game's root folder, replacing the files that are already there.
