Most gamers believe that 4K-gaming is too expensive for reasonable PC building budget, however two tech enthusiasts were able to build a 4k gaming PC for around $1,000.
Put together by Linus Sebastian and Luke Lafreniere, the machine is powered by AMD FX6350 CPU and AMD R9 285 GPU. It is capable of running games such as StarCraft 2, Dirt: Showdown and Team Fortress 2 on maximum graphics quality at 4K resolution with average frame rate above 50 fps.
Needless to say, this is not an extreme gaming PC and it won't be able to run games such as Assassin's Creed: Unity, Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare or Far Cry 4 without cranking down the resolution or sacrificing graphics quality.
It is worth noting that the build was sponsored by AMD, hence the use of AMD CPU, GPU and Ram. However, there is no doubt a similar build can be made using NVIDIA and Intel components for a similar price.
