If there's one thing we can take from the state of the games industry in 2014, it's that Ubisoft has become the new EA Games. While EA might still be denying Sims players pools until a month after release, Ubisoft has continued to release entirely broken and buggy games, with AC: Unity being a great example of that.
Filled with game-spanning filler content, companion applications, micro-transactions up the wazoo and bugs and flaws in their hundreds, gamers and reviewers alike haven't been too impressed with the most beautifully realised Assassin's Creed game yet.
Still, at least Ubisoft has released a patch, which today fixes upwards of 300 bugs with the game.
"Patch 3 includes over three hundred fixes designed to improve your Assassin’s Creed Unity experience," Ubisoft said in a blog post.
Much of those fixes clear up problems with the game, bugs and flaws, but there are some performance improvement tweaks in there too which should speed things up for all platform owners.
We're not out of the woods yet though: "While you might notice some improvements to framerate as a result of Patch 3, we still have a future patch planned to further address framerate concerns," Ubisoft said.
Patch 3 is now rolling out on PS4 and Xbox One, but won't hit PC until later this week.
How have you guys been getting on with AC: Unity? Have you run into the many bugs that have been talked about online?
