In post-launch DLC releases, Monster Hunter: World has shown that crossover events with other games can be a great way to bring people back for a few more hunts and offer some unique gameplay additions at the same time. The latest crossover event bring Assassin's Creed to the shores of the New World, offering gamers the chance to unlock a brand new Assassin's mantle, which has some unique gameplay tweaks of its own.
Previous crossover events in Monster Hunter: World included Dante from Devil May Cry, and the upcoming Geralt, from The Witcher series. Assassin's Creed is leaping that latter game blending, however, with its special event available right now.
To earn the new Assassin's Mantle you need to complete the event quest: SDF: Silent, Deadly, and Fierce. It's a triple-threat arena assignment which sees a High Rank Odoragon, Lunastra, and Deviljho all angered and ready to brawl. You'll have to take them all down one after the other, but once you do, you'll get yourself the new mantle. With it equipped you do increased damge if attacking from stealth and receive bonuses to your run speed and climbing speed.
But that's not all. There's also a new layered armor set called Bayek's, which you can craft from feathers which you earn by completing the event quest. You'll need to do it a few times to get enough, but it won't take long -- those arena quests with multiple monsters are fast, even if they aren't easy.
This event is live now on Xbox One and PS4. No PC crossover event date has yet been set.
