Alongside the debut of a truly monster 32-core CPU, AMD also has some news on the graphics front. It's not quite as exciting, but it's intriguing nonetheless. The Powercolor Nano Vega 56 is a Vega 56 graphics card that's been slimmed down to be no bigger than the Nano cards of the Fury generation and they're still capable of running games at 4K.
Before Vega came along, the last AMD top-tier graphics cards released were its Fury line up. One of the most notable factors of the Fury and Fury X were how small they were compared to many high-end graphics cards. They were shorter and thanks to built in water cooling ran quite cool too. The Fury Nano took things even further and offered a truly minimal footprint whilst also providing decent gaming power.
That's what the Vega 56 Nano is looking to do for the Vega generation, which are far more typical in their usual guises. Shown off this week by AMD at Computex, the card is made by Powercolor, though AMD itself was rather proud of the design. It was shown running games at 4K while using Freesync on a Samsung TV, as per PCGamer.
AMD claims that the card is available now, but we don't see it listed on any major retailers as of yet. When it does, we'll update this piece with proper pricing information.
