AMD Ryzen 2000 CPUs hit Amazon cheaper than expected

If you're looking to upgrade your processor, it's certainly worth considering the new range of AMD Ryzen 2000-series chips, as they are now available for pre-order on Amazon at much cheaper prices than were originally expected. It's not known whether this is a response to Intel's new Coffee Lake refresh chips, but regardless, AMD is staying hotly competitive with its new range of Zen hardware.

The prices for the new AMD chips appeared alongside new listings for them on Amazon in the early hours of this morning, giving AMD fans something to chew over as they await the launch of the new lineup.

The full list of chips, their prices (and originally expected prices) are listed below:

Ryzen 7 2700X - $330 ($370)
Ryzen 7 2700 - $300 ($330)
Ryzen 5 2600X - $230 ($250)
Ryzen 5 2600 - $ 200 ($200)

The only chip in the line up which didn't see a discounted rate was the 2600, though at $200, it's already very competitively priced.

Although as pointed out by WCCFTech, these chips aren't actually available to buy just yet, we are only a few weeks away from that being the case.

Thanks to these solid prices, a nice boost to the chips' clock speeds over their predecessors, and the fact that they should be a little more energy efficient to boot, AMD could have another winner on its hands.

Which of these chips interests you guys the most?
