ASRock has become one of the first third-party GPU manufacturers to debut its custom designs for AMD's upcoming RX 5000-series, Navi-based graphics cards with some exciting new lighting options that point to advancement in RGB as much as in GPU power.
Specifications for AMD's next-generation graphics cards are still light on the ground, although AMD has promised that the RX 5700 will offer performance around 10 percent higher than that of an RTX 2070. That may prove to be like the Radeon VII launch, where that percentage gap closes significantly or even swings in the other direction depending on the game. But for now at least, AMD is riding high on potential and the enticement is there for what third-parties can do with the reference AMD Radeon design.
ASRock's three designs are for two different cards, one 180w part and one 150w part. Each design is a triple-fan with a monster heatsink inside that's attached to the GPU core via copper heatpipes. They come in more traditional, chunky-gamer plastic shroud style with some typical fans, and a more open-face design with exciting RGB lighting options around the center fan for a very different look, as per WCCFTech.
Each card will enjoy ASRock's PolyChrome sync technology for unified lighting solutions, and a metal backplate for some heat dissipation and added aesthetics.
