As much as a deviation from the norm that Assassin's Creed Origins was, with its setting in ancient Egypt and divulsion into true supernatural fantasy from its relatively grounded historic roots, Assassin's Creed Odyssey, the next entry in the series, could be an even bigger divergence. It's slated to take place in ancient Greece and will be shown off for the first time at this year's E3 in mid-June.
Said to be a direct sequel to Origins, Assassin's Creed Odyssey was first revealed by which managed to get hold of a promotional keyring for the game that was made up to look like a Spartan Hoplite helmet.
This was later confirmed by Ubisoft, which released a very short teaser for the game to help curb and stoke the rumors that have been swirling for a while now.

Other information that Kotaku has collected includes the suggestion that the game will implement more RPG elements, including conversational options and the choice of a male or female protagonist for players.
Some have suggested the game will release sometime before March 2019.
