Have you ever wondered what the most common kills are in PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds? What about the percentage of players who have won their first ever game, or how many people have been mowed down by vehicles? A new video from IGN called "PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds: By the numbers," answers all those questions and more.
Only one in every six thousand Battlegrounds players were able to win that chicken dinner on their first game, which according to the video is far less likely than being struck by lightning at some point in your life. In total, more than 10.2 million games have been played already, totalling a ridiculous 25, 820 years worth of game time among the global audience of gamers who have only been playing it since it entered Steam Early Access in March.
An interesting stat to note is that blue and red zone kills only account for around 10 million kills, suggesting that it's not too difficult to avoid those zones, but that getting away from them does make you a more likely target.
You're most likely to be murdered at distance by someone firing at you with an AKM, with 114 million players having fallen to that particular assault rifle at some point in a game. That's followed closely by the M16A4, which has over 103 million kills itself.
The least successful gun of them all? That's the P18C pistol, with just 555,888 kills.
What's your favorite Battleground state of the lot and which are your favorite guns to use if you can get your hands on them?
