Battlefield 4 has been one of the standout titles of the past few years, with a still-strong player base despite all of its many problems with actually being playable. To try and keep that moving forward, DICE has released a new game mode for the long running shooter, called Squad Conquest.
It's a 5v5 squad-based version of the usually much larger Conquest mode, but this one adds new capture points which unlock better weapons and vehicles, making it a much more gradual experience of rolling through to victory.
If you're wondering how such a game mode will play out, there's a full gameplay run down from Westie here:
Some have suggested that these sorts of smaller, team based game modes are much better at building a competitive Esports scene for the game.
What do you guys think? Is this sort of addition likely to help BF4 has a more dominant position at Esport events and competitions? Can it cut into the already dominant CS:GO player base?
