If you want to take full advantage of all of the new graphical effects that DICE has added to Battlefield V, you'll need to be running an Nvidia RTX graphics card. The rest of the requirements aren't too strenuous, but the minimum specifications for these new games are starting to rise, so don't expect to be able to play at decent frame rates if your system is a decade old.
To get the game running to a minimum standard on lowest settings at 1080P, you'll need the following:
- Processor (AMD): Intel Core i5 6600K or AMD FX-8350
- Memory: 8GB RAM
- Graphics card (NVIDIA): NVIDIA GeForce® GTX 1050 / NVIDIA GeForce® GTX 660 2GB
- Graphics card (AMD): AMD Radeon™ RX 560 / HD 7850 2GB
- Hard-drive space: 50GB
To run the game full tilt with even the new ray tracing features enabled by Nvidia's new RTX cards, you'll need a lot more though. Here are the recommended specs for DXR support.
- Processor (AMD): Intel Core i7 8700 or AMD Ryzen 7 2700
- Memory: 16GB RAM
- Graphics card (NVIDIA): NVIDIA GeForce® RTX 2070
- Available Disk Space: 50GB
If you don't care about ray tracing though, you don't need anywhere near as powerful a system. Dice has also released some recommended specs for those without an RTX card. All you need for high-settings otherwise, is:
- Processor (AMD): Intel Core i7 4790 or AMD Ryzen 3 1300X
- Memory: 12GB RAM
- Graphics card (NVIDIA): NVIDIA GeForce® GTX 1060 6GB
- Graphics card (AMD): AMD Radeon™ RX 580 8GB
- Available Disk Space: 50GB
How does your system measure up to these demands?
