Microsoft has listened to the fans and added Halo: Reach to its Xbox One backwards compatibility program. If you own the Xbox 360 of the game you can now download it for free on Xbox One, but that would be a waste of bandwidth.
As it stands, the Xbox One version of Halo: Reach runs at an unplayable frame rate. The game used to run at a steady 30 fps on Xbox 360, but the Xbox One version runs at an erratic frame rate which dips often to near 15 fps.
VG Tech has prepared the below YouTube video to compare the performance of the Xbox 360 and Xbox One versions of the game.
Microsoft acknowledged the issue and allocated a team of developers to fix it.
"We’re aware some users are experiencing issues playing Halo: Reach via Xbox One Backward Compatibility. The Xbox engineering team is currently looking into the issues and are working to address them."
