It's hard to ever paint Gul'Dan, one of the World of Warcraft's most infamous characters, as anything but a bad guy, but it turns out that he was once an outcast; a shrunken, hunch backed orc who was unable to find his place in his tribe. It was that resentment that built though, leading to hate and the dark-side as he increased in power.
That's all apparent in the new video-short Blizzard released for Legion, which shows Gul'Dan's past: what made him the orc he would become, what drove him to hate and to lust for power. Though he begins his journey as a pitiable creature, by its end, he's at his most disturbing.
World of Warcraft's next expansion, Legion, is one that's been in the works for several years now. We had our first look at it last year, with hints of story and a feature trailer - there's lots in store for those willing to return to Azeroth.
Players can expect a new character class - Demon Hunter - a brand new "Broken Isles," continent to explore, the ability to level yourself up to 110, new dungeons and raids and a whole lot more.
Are you pumped for Legion's release?
