A well-known hacker claims that he has "officially jailbreaked" the PlayStation 4.
Just broke WebKit process out of a FreeBSD jail (cred->cr_prison = &prison0). Guess you could say the PS4 is now officially "jailbroken" :P

The claim was made by CTurt, a hacker known for uncovering several exploits in PS4 firmware v1.76. He is also one of the key persons in the PlayStation 4 hacking community.
You might want to hold your horses though. It is likely that the jailbreak exploit will be patched by Sony as soon as it makes its way to the internet. It is also worth noting that such a jailbreak exploit would allow the console to run unsigned homebrew code but it wouldn't circumvent anti-piracy protections of commercial games.
