Playing Nintendo games on your PC has always involved jumping through a few hoops as you needed a decent emulator, the right ROM file and relatively hefty hardware to do all the lifting. However, the latest version of the CEMU emulator — which you can download right here on Megagames — provides a huge boost to emulator performance. That makes it possible to play games like The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, on PC, at 4K and even at 60 FPS.
The results are simply stunning. If you have a 4K monitor or TV, crank up this video to its highest settings and take a look at how beautiful Nintendo games can really be when there's some serious hardware behind them.
While this does make us wish Nintendo would do some official PC ports, you can at least experience this game now at the highest fidelity possible without much in the way of hiccups. The only caveat to this emulated experience is that since Breath of the Wild was designed to run at 30 FPS on the Switch and Wii U, its physics gets a bit janky at higher frame rates. If you do plan to play this on PC in CEMU, you may want to limit the frame rate to 30 FPS to preserve the experience. Or at least switch to it when physics is an important component of whatever you're up to.
