Burnout devs are making a new Time Crisis-like VR game

Although on-rails movement is the quickest way to nausea in a virtual reality game, some developers who previously worked on the Burnout series are now making a new VR game based on Time Crisis. It's a shooting gallery - which there are a few of already, but it's already looking quite polished, with modes for target practice, breaching scenarios and more.

It's called Lethal VR and is designed to offer a gun-store like experience, where you can go along and try out different weapons, shoot them on a range, or in a variety of target-based scenarios to let you practice your marksmanship.

This is rather similar to Hot Dogs, Horseshoes and Hand Grenades, which has been available for a while, but Lethal VR wants to be more polished, a more consumer friendly experience. The guns won't be quite as lifelike or require every cocking and readying that the aforementioned shooter does, but they will still give you the feel of real guns in real - fake - scenarios, like walking down a street and shooting bad guys, but not killing the civilians.

To spice things up too, the developers are adding in guns from certain games and movies, to give you a taste of what it might be like to fire some of the epic weapons from fictional history.

No promises on which ones will make it, but you might find the weapons inspired by certain sci-fi superheroes, or snappy catchphrase having spies.

Lethal VR is set for release on HTC Vive on November 8, with a PSVR version coming later.
