Elex, the upcoming action title from THQ Nordic that was announced earlier this week with a very buzzword heavy story trailer, now has some gameplay to look at in a new trailer release. The game blends various gameplay styles from different genres and is looking to bring together audiences of all different sorts to enjoy its post-apocalyptic, open world, RPG-ish, action title.
One feature that THQ seems keen to push with Elex is its varied environments. We see distinctly different settings in this game, putting players in desert locales, frozen wastes, industrial sectors and more in a blend of fantasy and sci-fi. It's not entirely clear just yet how that all blends together, but the game isn't far off from release. The plan is to get it out to PC, PS4 and Xbox One gamers by the middle of October, which is just a few short months away.
So far the feedback for the game hasn't been particularly strong. The original reveal trailer has a lot of made up words and sounded a little child-like in its description of the world and this latest trailer has some rather wonky animations. It's a small game with big ambitions, so it remains to be seen whether it can achieve the level of polish that people expect from such an expansive game world.
How do you think Elex is shaping up?
