Call of Duty: Black Ops II might have surpassed its predecessors in terms of day one revenues, but it seems that it is on track to lose to them in terms of total sales.
According to data gathered by Sterne Agee, sales of the latest Call of Duty title went down as much as 20% during its launch week. Accordingly, the company estimates that Black Ops II will end up 10 to 15 percent lower than last year’s Modern Warfare 3.
If Sterne Agee’s prediction turns out to be true, it would mark the second decline for the series. Last year, Modern Warfare 3 sales were around 5% less than 2010’s Call of Duty: Black Ops.
