As much as mainstream games in franchises like Call of Duty don't tend to be the most strenuous on a system, the upcoming Call of Duty: WWII is no slouch. Although you might be able to scrape by with an older system if you want to run it on minimum, if you want to go beyond the recommended you're going to need something pretty hefty to cater to its needs.
Sledgehammer has released both minimum and recommended specifications for the game before, but that was before the beta hit. So if you're not sure if your system will measure up for the full version, here's what you need:
Minimum specifications
OS: Windows 7 64-Bit or later
CPU: CPU: Intel Core i3 3225 3.3 GHz or AMD Ryzen 5 1400
RAM: 8 GB RAM
HDD: 90 GB HD space
Video: NVIDIA® GeForce® GTX 660 @ 2 GB / GTX 1050 or ATI® Radeon™ HD 7850 @ 2GB / AMD RX 550
DirectX: Version 11.0 compatible video card or equivalent
Network: Broadband Internet connection
Sound Card: DirectX Compatible
If that all seems like child's play to you, let's see how your system measures up against something a little more challenging, like the recommended specifications:
CPU: Intel® Core™ i5-2400 or AMD Ryzen R5 1600X
RAM: 12 GB RAM
HDD: 90 GB HD space
Video: NVIDIA® GeForce® GTX 970 / GTX 1060 @ 6GB or AMD Radeon™ R9 390 / AMD RX 580
DirectX: Version 11.0 compatible video card or equivalent
Network: Broadband Internet connection
Sound Card: DirectX Compatible
Even that isn't too strenuous, though those graphics card options are a few hundred dollars at least. You'll need more than this if you want to run everything at full settings and definitely so if you're planning on gaming at 4K resolution.
How does your system measure up to these new requirements?
