Mega Man’s 25th anniversary is coming up in December, but it seems that Capcom doesn’t have big plans for celebrating this milestone for one of its oldest and most reputable franchises.
"In December 'some but not all' plans for the coming year of celebrations will be shared," Corporate Officer and Senior Vice-President Christian Svensson responded to Capcom Unity users’ questions about the planned celebrations. "There are many moving parts and not everything will be done and final come December. No one has promised a game or even an announcement of one at that time. Please do keep expectations in check."
We already know that a new Mega Man, Mega Man Xover, is scheduled for release on iOS this fall. Capcom has also announced a Japan-only musical collection to be released around the same time frame.
