The Last of Us was one of those games that got people talking about writing in games again. There's been a general consensus that stories and particularly dialogue writing in games over the past generation have taken a bit of a nose dive. But The Last of Us was different, it offered believable characters that weren't the same as every other game out there.
To celebrate that fact and give something quite different to fans of the game, the voice actors are going to be doing a one off show of the game, live, on stage and broadcast online.
All of the big actors will be there, including Troy Baker who played Joel, Ashley Joshnon - Ellie, Merle Dandridge - Marlene, Hana Hayes - Sarah and Annie Wersching who played Tess. Creative Director and writer at the game's developer, Naughty Dog, will be present too, directing the cast live on stage.
The game's composer, Gustavo Santaolalla will also be present, performing parts of his award winning score.
Unfortunately, the show, set to take place on July 28 at Broad Stage in Santa Monica, has sold out, so there's no live tickets left, but you can watch it online on Youtube or via the PlayStation Network.
Look out for the show at 7PM Pacific, 10PM Eastern on he day in question.
All of this is to promote the HD remastering of the game, set for release on PS4 on the 29th.
