Did you like The Witcher III? It was easily the most popular game that developer CD Projekt Red, has ever released and with good reason. It was deep, long, broad, varied, beautiful - and a number of other words that compliment a finely crafted, AAA narrative driven experience. But it's not the only "projekt" that the GoG owner has ever worked on.
In fact if you're hankering for more CD Projekt work, it has another currently in development. Cyberpunk 2077 is the game and it's based around the tabletop roleplaying experience Cyberpunk 2020. It will feature many of the same mechanics from that game world, letting players augment themselves, mix drugs and cybernetic implants to create super human killing machines.
It's an exciting setting, especially considering the developer pedigree. It should be a big, big game too, as we now know that more people are working on creating it than ever worked on The Witcher III. That's really saying something.
It's not clear just how many people are working on it, but we'd imagine it's a lot. It would also suggest that the game is nearing completion, though we don't know how far along it really is. Originally announced in 2013, it seems likely to arrive next year, but it really is anyone's guess.
The game's social media accounts haven't been active in years, so it could be that it has had major reworking over the past couple.
