Traditionally The Crew has been all about racing down your rivals, beating them to the finish while not dinging up your own beautiful car too badly, but that's all about to change. With the upcoming "Calling All Units," expansion, player can take on the role of the local and federal authorities, to try and chase down those dangerous racers.
This is the second big DLC release for The Crew, following on from Wild Run, which introduced a lot more off-road elements and vehicles. This one though will be looking to get you off the road in an entirely different manner: behind bars.
What's exciting about this release is that it was put together based on community feedback. For a while fans had requested an alternative cops and robbers gameplay mode, the same kind seen in the likes of Need for Speed Hot Pursuit and its various other titles. The developers went on to deliver and now we can expect that sort of gameplay in The Crew when this update is released on November 29.
"Racers have been owning the place until today - time to set the record straight! Join the cops and put an end to their supremacy in frantic, high-risk pursuits all over the USA," the developers said in a statement.
On top of this new game mode, players can also look forward to a new police AI, 10 new levels to race on and a number of new vehicles too.
