Crucial has introduced a new version of its high-performance Ballistix memory which offers the complete gamer package, by merging aesthetic excellence with top notch performance.
Ballistix Tracer memory features two rows of eight chasing red and green LEDs atop the module, circulating at varying speeds proportional to usage. A custom-designed circuit relays bus activity to the LEDs, allowing them to accurately reflect usage of each memory module. In addition, eight blue ground effects LEDs emit a constant glow near the pins.
Tracer memory is for hardcore gamers and modders - those who demand top performing, stable memory, but who also appreciate the aesthetic value of their hardware. To better meet the needs of this crowd, Crucial has expanded the Tracer memory line to include 1GB DDR and DDR2 modules for enthusiasts sporting the newest technology.
The Crucial Ballistix Tracer memory line now includes the following modules in densities of both 512MB and 1GB.
- Crucial Ballistix Tracer PC4000 (DDR 500)
- Crucial Ballistix Tracer PC2-5300 (DDR2 667)
