Even though it feels like the world and his dog have gotten a little tired of zombies, there's still games, TV shows and movies full of undead shambling onto our screens in the next couple of years and the Dead Rising film is one of them.
Featuring Rob Riggle, from 21 Jump Street and Dumb and Dumber To, as Frank West, the protagonist from the original game, the movie is set for release on the 27th March and will premier on Sony's Crackle streaming service first of all, where it will remain an exclusive for a few weeks.
After that however, it will be made available on other on-demand platforms and will also receive a physical release for the cavemen out there still using discs. Some outlets will purportedly be streaming it in an episodic format too.
There is no real star studded cast on this one, as the biggest name you'll find is '80s actress Virginia Madsen or Jesse Metcalfe, who had a role in John Tucker Must Die.
Fortunately however, the script has been put together by Tim Carter, who previously wrote for the Sleeping Dogs videogame, so hopefully it will contain some elements of the original game in its plot.
Are you guys kind of done with Zombies at this point?
