If you're excited for the free-to-download PS4 exclusive Deep Down from Capcom, featuring its mashup of Monster Hunter and Dark Souls combat with Assassin's Creed time travel, then feast your eyes upon this, the latest trailer from the developers, unveiled at the opening of the Tokyo Games Show.
The trailer continues the trend of impossibly shiny armoured individuals, using magical time travel to jump back and forth between the late 21st and 15th centuries, with players avoiding deadly traps, battling fierce foes and dealing out witty quips to their digital assistant.
This is also a lovely showcase of the Panta Rhhei engine behind the game, which while looking a little downgraded from the original PC reveal at E3 last year, is still very pretty to look at and features a lot of fancy particle effects. The fire particularly looks excellent. However, as pretty as the game is, there's a lot of aliasing in the apartment scene.
There's also some demoed cooperative play, which looks exciting, though I hope there's some more varied arenas than the one colosseum-like structure that all of the big boss fights appear to be in.
