If like a lot of Destiny players you've already brawled your way through the Taken King raid campaign, then you've probably battled through it many times to unlock all of the best loot. Fortunately then, you can soon spend even more time replaying the same level, as the "hard mode," version is set to debut next week.
Of course with any rise in difficulty, you can expect more impressive loot to scavenge with a higher Light level cap. We're told that loot that drops in the hard mode will have a Light level between 310 and 320.
The raid will open its doors to hard mode masochists next Friday, along with a new and improved difficult version of the weekly NIghtfall Strike, which now comes with a higher chance of better loot too.
As EG points out, the bigger news among many Destiny players however, is that Bungie has confirmed it will not be selling consumable items linked to the King's Fall raid.
"What you're seeing are remnant files for Three of Coins or Moldering Shard like items that would have been available from Xûr," Bungie said.
"Ultimately, the team decided that they didn't have a place in the game, and cut them from the experience. You're seeing some dust and echoes from the cutting room floor."
