Disney has removed Tiny Death Star from Play Store and the App Store without prior notification.
Adding insult to injury, Diseny didn't even inform the game's development team before taking it down. Tiny Death Star has been available on both markets for less than 11 months and it was still "a significant source of revenue for us, so it stings that much more," according to developer Ian Marsh.
"We had no prior knowledge that the game would be removed and no longer even have a contact at Disney after the recent layoffs," he elaborated. "Suffice to say if you're a developer looking to partner with Disney this might not be the partnership you're looking for."
Current players are allowed to continue playing and re-downloading the game. Disney is yet to clarify the reasons behind the sudden decision.
