Perhaps EA is starting to learn its lesson? Either that or this was planned all along in some genius "ah we got you!" kind of gag, but I highly doubt it.
EA and developer Maxis, have announced that just two months after release, the Sims 4 is finally getting pools and to top it off, it's coming as part of a free update.
But it's not the only free DLC EA is dishing out to fans of the game over the next few months. Firstly, right now there's a content patch out there that adds ghosts to the game, giving your dead Sims a chance to haunt their family members and potentially, due to how much of your soul you want to sacrifice, you could bring them back to life.
On top of that, there's some Halloween costumes themed like Star Wars characters, giving your Sims the chance to dress up like Luke Skywalker, Darth Vadar, Leia or Yoda. There's also a new Gnome and new eye colours, which are fully adjustable on all Sims as of now.
Pools arrive in the next update in November, with the content extras arriving December adding extra career modes and job opportunities - another much missed feature from previous games.
However there's been no mention of toddlers, the only life phase that EA decided to strip out from the latest Sims game, along with pools.
