EA has launched a big sale this holiday season on its Origin storefront, perhaps in the hopes that it will do something about Star Wars: Battlefront II's poor response - it has a 40 percent price drop all of its own. But you know you don't want to mess around with that loot-box filled disaster. There are a few other games on the list though that might be worth your time.
There are some pretty big savings to be found as part of the sale, from 50 percent off the Battlefield 1 and Titanfall 2 Bundle, various entries in the Need for Speed series discounted to less than $10 in some cases. Dragon Age Inquisition, with all of its DLC as part of the Game of the Year edition can be had for just $15 - a steal for such a well-beloved game.
If you prefer indie titles, Unravel, the cutesy yarn story of a little creature making his way in the world is 50 percent off too.Steamworld Dig 2 is there too, though its 25 percent price cut isn't quite as strong as some of the other deals available.
Other titles in that vein include the Thing inspired Distrust, Lovecraftian hack and slack, Sundered, narrated emotional simulator, Please Knock on My Door and many others. There's even a bunch of Lego games if that's your fancy.
If you can stomach the fact that some of EA's owned, classic studios have long been shuttered, there's even some true gems from days of yesteryear you can pick up, like the Command and Conquer Ultimate Collection.
Do any of the games strike your fancy? You'll have until January 5 to buy them.
