With its 75 MetaCritic score, the recently released Medal of Honor certainly didn't live up to its hype, but this doesn't seem to have deterred EA from developing more FPS games.
"We are absolutely and positively not giving up on the first-person space," Visceral boss Nick Earl said.
"The reaction to Medal of Honor notwithstanding, we believe it's certainly going to be a commercial hit," Earl - who was recently put in charge of EA's third person action efforts - added. "And Battlefield is a very strong franchise in the first-person space. We're going to continue to pursue first person - but I'm personally completely laser-focused on the third person action-adventure space."
