If you've been waiting with baited breath for the last three years, eagerly anticipating Epic Game's forray into base building, shooter action, then today is likely to be an exciting one for you as the game has now entered Alpha.
That means that those of you that signed up for it way back when, may have received an email in your inbox letting you know that you can now get online and play Fortnite for the first time.
Throughout this period, Epic will be testing basic game features to make sure they all work correctly, as well as looking at things like balancing different enemies and weapons and the world generation itself.
"The game is still rough around the edges but we think it can benefit from your input even at this early stage. Check out our FAQ for more information about OT1," Epic said in an official statement.
However, if you weren't lucky enough to be in the first round of invitees, don't fret as Epic is going to run this alpha period for a full two weeks, bringing on more and more people as time goes on. By the end, chances are it will be letting everyone that applies for an alpha code to get in and they'll be getting friend invite codes too.
