Evil Within 2 first person update makes the game scarier than ever

Are you barely phased by horror games these days? What about if you get up close and personal with some of the horrifying elements of those universes? That's what creator of the Evil Within 2, Tango Gameworks has done for you this February, with an update that makes the game playable from the First Person perspective.

As scary as the game was before, it's decidedly more so when you're right there in the action yourself. The creatures look larger and more terrifying, the scares and creep factors are all the more horrifying. It's a downright awful experience and no one should put themselves through it unless they're super brave.

If you do decide you can handle it, the new game mode is free to anyone who already owns the game on PC or console and if you buy the game new, you can also jump right in and skip over the original third-person perspective entirely. Just go into the menu and hit the right switch and it's on.

For anyone who does want to have a go at The Evil Within 2 for the first time, it is currently at 50 percent off on Steam at $30. As PCGamesN points out too, there's a free trial you can take a swing at too if you're not sure if you can handle the scares.
