If you've been itching to hunt some monsters since the original Evolve Big Alpha that took place late last year, then the next few days should be able to scratch that for you as the Beta begins today on Xbox One, at 9am PST (5pm GMT).
Don't worry if you're a PC or PS4 gamer and want to get in on the action too though, as your beta begins a little later. PC users will be able to enter Evolve's jungles and deserts tomorrow, also at 9am PST, while the PS4 players get screwed over a bit and can't try the game out until 9am PST on the 17th.
As if the Xbox users didn't have enough going for them however, beginning on the 17th, at 12pm PST (8pm GMT), they will get to play the new Evacuation mode, as well as traditional hunt modes. That means they can play through the whole multiplayer 'campaign' mode, where players take on the monster in Nest, Rescue and Defend missions, with all of the variations of win and loss bonuses applied.
Essentially, they'll be testing the full game, whereas the rest of us will only be able to play Hunt mode.
Xbox One owners that pre-order the game also, will have their progression carry over to the final game and will have access to new hunters and monsters during the beta that others won't be able to play with.
All servers will go offline on Monday, January 18 at 8PM PST.
