One of the main advantages of consoles over pc is not having to worry with hardware compatibilities and games crashing; But Playstation 3 Assassin's Creed might think otherwise.
Various sources confirmed that the Playstation 3 version of the game crashes at an exceptional frequency. Most of the game's bugs have been - unofficially - linked to PS3 Firmware 2.0 update.
There is no official word on the topic yet, but fan discussions concluded that disabling the Information Board on the 2.0 FW front-end menu and disconnecting their PS3 from the (online) PSN while playing tends to reduce the crashing frequency.
