With AMD's DirectX 11 several months market lead, Nvidia may be betting its future on its upcoming Fermi architecture.
Nvidia has started mass production of Fermi chips last month and plans to use them in video cards that'll be launched around the end of February.
There isn't much solid info about the aforementioned video cards, but Nvidia has revealed the names of the first couple of them: GeForce GTX 480 and GeForce GTX 470. Needless to say, GTX 480 is poised to be the high end market leader while GTX 470 is expected to be its hopefully-close-second with lower CPU and memory speeds as well as fewer CUDA cores.
