AMD has signed a significant deal with Valve which will see ATI RADEON owners rewarded with free versions of Half-Life 2: Episode 2 and other Valve titles.
According to details of the deal, once a Steam account is created, the ATI card will be detected and the relevant gifts distributed i.e. Half-Life 2: Lost Coast and Half-Life 2: DeathMatch. The ultimate reward for ATI owners will come to those buying a 2900 XT which will feature free downloads of Half-Life 2: Episode 2, Portal and Team Fortress, when released.
Steam will also come bundled, on the installation CD, with RADEON cards making the AMD/Valve partnership a powerful weapon in the fight against rivals, Intel and nVidia.
