If you're a fan of arcade classics, or some of the earliest attempts at epic, local cooperative gaming for more than two players, then chances are you've played, or heard a lot about the Gauntlet remake that's being put together by the guys behind Magicka. It's unfortunate then, that the bit of news we have today, regarding the rebooted series, is that it's not set to arrive for a few more weeks.
The reasoning behind the push back, which will see the game released on September 23rd, is to allow the developers to fine tune certain aspects of the gameplay to make sure that it's a solid multiplayer experience.
If you're particularly mad about this delay because you pre-ordered the game and had it all set when you would get minion slaying with your fellow adventurers, then Arrowhead hopes to appease you with an in-game item: a wizard's robe made from dead demon babies.
Gauntlet, when it does finally release, is said to be a modern interpretation of the classic action RPG, combining hack and slash action, with more contemporary gameplay mechanics, though players will still be able to pick one of four classic characters, including the Wizard, Elf, Warrior or Valkyrie.
