Although the latest generation of consoles has struggled somewhat with delivering a 1080P, 60 frames per second experience with most AAA games, Gears of War 4 appears to be making some headway. The multiplayer portion of the title will run at the much smoother 60FPS, though the single player portion of the game, presumably where bigger set pieces and action will take place, will still be restricted to 30 FPS.
Admittedly this is the same frame rate that all of the previous games ran at, so it may not be that noticeable for people who are used to the franchise.
The game will run at 1080P though, so that's an upgrade over previous entries in the series. It will obviously be prettier than previous titles in other respects too, taking advantage of modern graphical features and other aesthetic tweaks.
In other Gears of War 4 news, there is some suggestion that PC players my get a chance to play it too. Thanks to Microsoft's big push to have unified applications across multiple platforms, it may be that developer The Coalition, brings a port to the PC as well.
Nothing confirmed as of yet though.
