Google's new game streaming service named, imaginatively, Project Stream, is currently undergoing testing as part of its initial roll out to gamers all over the world. If you're willing to spend some time testing the experience to see whether it measures up with other streaming services and even local gaming, you can play Assassin's Creed Odyssey entirely for free.
Better yet, Ubisoft has promised to honor any of those who do take part by providing them with a full copy of the game on Uplay.
To be eligible, you'll need to sign up to Google's Project Stream tech test, which does have limited availability and you may not be chosen based on your ability to handle the stream technology. To qualify, you'll need to have an internet connection in excess of 25 megabits per second and you must be a U.S. resident.
If you're accepted though, you'll be able to play Odyssey via Project Stream entirely for free until January 15 and you'll have a free 1,000 "Helix" in-game currency from Ubisoft for your trouble. Make sure to backup your save too, because once the 15th of next month rolls around, you can just pick up where you left off in your Uplay version of the game. You will need the local hardware to install and play it though, which will be much more taxing than playing it via the stream.
The input lag should be lessened though, so there's that.
