It's that time of year again where we should all be heading outside for some much-needed sun, fresh air, and camaraderie with friends and family... but why do that when there are so many games to play? If your collection doesn't have enough to keep you busy this summer though, there's always the Steam Summer Sale to help you restock and this year's will be no different.
Oh, and it's starting later today, so you better have saved up some money from your last pay check.
Although Valve hasn't made any kind of official announcement, plenty of sources are claiming that this year's Summer Sale kicks off today, June 21. SteamDB was the first to make the call and it suggested that a number of new Steam Cards had been appearing on the site over the last week, and typically Valve rolls forward the Steam Summer Sale a day before the previous year.
In 2017 the sale started on the 22nd, so this year's beginning on the 21st makes a lot of sense.

When it does go live, expect the usual bevvy of discounted games all at their lowest rates -- Valve dropped daily deals a few years ago -- and hopefully not too much of a gamification of the whole purchasing process.
What games do you hope see a big discount this year?
